Online legal data : the case of the local authorities
First, the importance and value of free access to law is outlined form a comparative perspective : how important and valuable is it in the common law tradition and in the civil law tradition (the example of France)
Second, the international influence of free access to law via internet is stressed, from a double point of view : first, how can it change in the way democracy is exercised (the example of the EC Commission which favors a consultative procedure in the field of the law of contracts) ; second, in what respect is internet becoming the instrument of the supremacy of one legal system over the others ?
